When most people think about losing weight or getting more healthy a lot of people start talking about cutting calories and burning more calories.
But there is a fundamental problem with that line of thinking. The biggest being that all calories are NOT created equal.
What do I mean by this? Well let’s look at an example. If you were to eat 1,000 calories of fat, and 1,000 calories of carbohydrates you would get very different results.
With one you would lose weight, while the other you would gain fat. Do you know which one? Well if you were to eat 1,000 calories a day of 90% fat, you would actually lose weight. It wouldn’t be much but you would still lose. But if you ate 1,000 calorie of 90% carbohydrates you would actually gain weight.
But both are 1,000 calories and far below the recommended caloric intake of 2,000 calories a day that we hear so much about.
But that’s just the problem. These calories and they kind of calorie they are make such a different end results that counting calories is almost useless.
You should be focusing on the type of food you are eating and then the quantity. This is why I recommend the HCG diet because it doesn’t have any HCG side effects or dangers. Don’t worry so much about counting individual calories because it won’t do you much good. And do a little bit of research so you can avoid any HCG diet side effects.
Instead try to stick to some basic ground rules. For example, don’t drink calories. It’s extremely easy to drink over 300+ calories in a cappuccino or energy drink. Stick to water or plain coffee or tea.
Also, avoid “diet” drinks. They claim they don’t have calories but it doesn’t matter. They use a sweetener called Splenda and that can actually stimulate weight gain and increase your cravings. On a side note have you ever noticed that the majority of soda drinkers, especially diet, are overweight? It’s true, these drinks are murder on your health and weight. Just don’t do it.
Another good plan is to stick to one plate per meal, with no seconds and no snacks between meals. This will help you keep your portion sizes more manageable. It’s too hard to weigh everything out the rest of your life, use this simple trick to keep portion sizes manageable.
Also, get more active. Do some light exercise at least 3 times a week. You don’t have to kill yourself at the gym in order to lose weight. In fact you might see the opposite if you go overboard and workout 5 days a week, twice a day. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve had people email me saying they workout a ton and they can’t lose the weight. They are simply overdoing it and probably not sticking to a good diet. That’s another good reason why I recommend a good diet is because you can avoid any HCG diet dangers with it.
You don’t need much exercise but you do need some. Get a heart rate monitor and find you optimum heart rate. Then get out and get your heart rate to that target and keep it there for 30 minutes to an hour. Doing that twice or 3 times a week will have you skinny and fit in no time. No need to overdo it, just do a little bit at a time, it all adds up.
There are many more tips and tricks I can give you but I think I’ll save that for other articles. Please spend a minute and surf around our site to find other great information. Thanks for stopping by!
